The Poets and writers of Dadu District

District Dadu is rich in literature like other districts of Sindh. The legend poets, philosophers, historians, short story writers and playwrights have birthed in Dadu district, Sindh proud of them. The list is very large, but we give the life sketch or profile of those literary persons briefly.
Makhdom Bilawal
Makhdom Bilawal son of Makhdom Hasan Samo was born in 1451 at village Talti but lived at Baghban till his martyrdom. He was famous religious scholar and patriotic person. History shows him as a poet of high rank. He was martyred in 1522.
Allama I.I Qazi
Allama Imdad Ali, Imam Ali Qazi was born on, 18th April 1886. His ancestor belonged to village pat, Dadu district. He was high profiled philosopher, educationist and writer. He was given title of Allama. He was appointed as vice chancellor of Sindh University but he resigned in 1957. His published books “Casual peeps at Sophia”, “A brown girl in the search of God” and compiled “Shah Jo Risalo” is countable contribution. He died in 13th April 1968 and was buried in the area of University of Sindh, Jamshoro.
Ustad Bukhari
A legend poet of Sindh and recognition of Dadu, Sayed Ahmed Shah son of Hajan Shah Bukhari was born on 16th January 1930 at village Ghulam Chandio, Taluka Dadu. His family tree roots are connected in 20th generation with Sher Shah Jalaluddin Surkh posh Bukhari of Uch Sharif. He was most popular in Sindh in comparison with his contemporary great poets. Bukhari cast became his recognition in Sindh, as “Shah” cast is recognition of Shah Abdul Latif of Bhit. Ustad Bukhari, with simple diction, Dialect and usage of folk language at the highest creative level, expressed his powerful, potentate and meaningful thoughts. His simple but potent and touchy expression regarding to every aspect of life and society is still ruling hearts of Sindh. He was snatched from Sindh by Cancer on 9th October 1992. Whole Sindh had been caught by sorrowful feelings on his painful departure from this mortal world, but he is still alive in the shape of his immortal work. His 22 books of poetry are published and four books are published on his life and work.
Jamal Abro
Jamal Abro son of Ali khan Abro was born on 2nd May 1924 at village Sangi, Taluka Mehar, District Dadu. He is a legend and renowned short story writer of Sindh. He served as judge and after this assignment; he remained on different high posts at provincial and federal level. His two short stories, “Perani” and “Pishu Pasha” are most famous due new style, distinct diction and unique themes. Pisshu pasha is his first book of short stories. He passed away on 30th June 2004
Mohammad Husain Penhwar
Mohammad Husain Penhwar alias M.H Penhwar son of Haji khan pen war was born on 25th December 1925 at village Ibrahim penhwar. He was great, agriculturist, research scholar and historian of Sindh. Sindh prouds of him. His services to research and history deserve to describe in details but here we have to write in nutshell. His research was based on scientific methods. He has written many books but his books “A source material on Sindh” and “Chronological dictionary of Sindh” prove him as great research scholar. He expired in 2007.
Taj Sahrai
Taj Mohammad son of Noor Mohammad Memon was born on 11th September 1921 at Shikarpur, but he remained permanent resident of Dadu city till his expiry. Taj Sahrai was a legend historian of Sindh. He started research and writing since 1940. He was founder Head Master of Talibul Moula High School Dadu in 1952 and founder of Allama I.I Qazi Liberary Dadu in 1968. He went with Pakistan Government delegation to International Congress for III World Teachers held in Tripoli (Libya) in 1978. He remained permanent member and Convener of Shahbaz Mella Organizing Committee. He received Presidential award “Pride of performance in 1991. Including historian he was a good poet. Many of his articles have been published in different recognized journals. He is author of two glorious books, “Sindhu Tahzeeb” and “Lake Manchar”. He left mortal world, leaving immortal work on 28th October 2002.
Sarkash Sindhi
A famous poet of Sindh, Sarkash Sindhi’s actual name is Abdul Majeed son of Molvi Abdullah Chandio. He was born on First October 1940 at village Palipota, Taluka Mehar, Dadu district. He got start in literary field since 1954. Sarkash Sindhi is one of those poets, who have used Sindhi language at creative level. Most of his poetry is a mirror of romanticism and resistance full with appealing and strong feelings. Including poet, he is best prose writer. “Dard e Dil”, “Amun Aab e Hayat”, “Piyar aen Azadi”, “Sindhu Jagey Tho” are his published books of poetry. His autobiography is also published in two volumes.
Ahmed Khan Madhosh
Ahmed Khan Madhosh son of Haji Khan Soomro was born on 5th April 1931 at village Sultan Chandio taluka Khairpur Nathan Shah, Dadu district. His father was called Shughli faqeer on account of singing Naats and Mauloods. Madhosh himself connected as the descendent of legend folk poet Jalal Khati (Khatri). He started his poetic traveling since 1960 with a traditional stream of poetry, which was influenced by Persian language. When he used folk or common dialect and language in his poetry, he began to be registered as a best poet. Due to simple and potentate poetry, he stepped as a registered and famous poet in the field of Sindhi poetry. He expired on 26th June 2010 due to cancer. His two books, “dil joon galhyon”, “Nazar mein nazar band” are published. He received so many awards.
Ghulam Mohammad Girami
Ghulam Mohammad “Girami” son of Jaro Khan Laghari was born on 30rd December 1920 at Mehar. He passed his primary education at Mehar in 1931 and was sent to Madarsa for religious education. He started career as journalist in 1946. He was most worthy and legend personality of Sindh. He remained editor of quarterly “Mihran” in sixties. His services to Sindhi literature are unforgettable. He was laid to rest on 15th September 1974. His books “Allah jo vijood”, “Rafiq e hayat”, “Kulyat e Bulbul”, “Deewan e Bulbul”, “Mashrqi shairi ja fani qadur aen rujhanat” are worthwhile for Sindhi literature.
Shamasuddin Bulbul
Shamasuddin son of Bahadur Khan Shino was born on 21st February 1857 at Mehar. His start is since 1882. He was best Journalist, poet and prose writer. He also created comedy. His books, “Deewan e Bubul”, “Kalam e Bulbul aen jaam e jam” are published. He left mortal world on 13th September 1919.
Muhsan Kakrai
A renowned romantic poet Sayed Niaz Ali Shah “Muhsan Kakrai” son of Ahmed Shah Lakyari was born on 4th July 1937 at Kakar. He started composing poetry since 1951. Many of his poetry was published in different standard magazines and broadcasted from Radio Pakistan Hyderabad. His books, “Umangon”, “Laela ja khat”, “Soori charhyo sach” and “Soonh ji sajah” are in market. He was expired on 2nd April 2005.
Molvi Abdul Rahim Magsi
Molvi Abdul Rahim so of Paryo Khan was born in 1879 at village Bacho Wahan near Sita. Including “Islami tareekh” 5 volumes, his other 20 religious books in Urdu and Sindhi are published. He died in 1943.
Gulab Soomro
Gul Muhammad Soomro well known as ‘Gulab’ Soomro was born to Ahmed Khan Soomro on 1 October 1949 at village Sita, near Radhan city of Dadu District . Later he migrated to Markhpur Dadu. His pen name was Gulab Soomro and Shadan Soomro . He was a poet, columnist and writer of Sindhi Language. He was also philanthropist and translator. His poetry and columns had been appeared in various Sindhi newspapers, especially in Hilal Ahmar newspaper. He has translated Holy Quran in Sindhi and Sarki languages. It was first time in history that translation of Holy Quran was done by him in Siraiki language. He died on 6th August 2017 and buried at Mirkhppur town, Dadu district. He left behind six sons and four daughters. His son Asif Jamal is too poet and short story writer.
Gul Muhammad devoted his most part of his life for preaching and teaching the Holy Quran. He had many students due to free education of Quran and most of people gave him status of Nobel man of their communities because of that Gul Muhammad resolved many family matters of different communities as alternative dispute resolutions. His life sketch is included in book ‘Sindh ji tareekh Jo jadeed mulalio’ by professor Abdullah Magsi.
Gulab was good reader of history, and Literature and had good collection of books in library at his home. He denoted many bokks to different libraries of Dadu as well.
Juma Khan Gharib
Juma Khan Gharib son of Mian Sattar Pirzado was born on 15th January 1885 at village Murid Lakhiar, Taluka Mehar. He was good traditional poet books. His Books “Gul e nao bahar”, “Sindhi aalim adib fazil” and “Rusomat e tabahi” are published. He passed away on 7th August 1953.
Dr Habihullah Siddiqi
Dr Habibullah Siddiqi son of Karim Bux Siddiqi was born on First January 1937 at village pat, Tluka Dadu. He is a renowned research scholar, prose writer and poet. His contribution in literature is very remarkable. His so many books have been published.
Ali khan Abro
Ali Khan Abro was born in 1890 (According to Badar Abro his grand son) at village Sangi, Taluka Mehar. He was first post graduate Muslim of sindh. Ali Khan Abro was educationist of high level. He refused title of Khan Bahadur. He was best prose writer. His published books are “halat e nabvi”, “ahadeth nabvi”, “islam aen taraqi”, “taraqi sindh Muslim”, “sur samoondi”, “akhlaqi gul dasto”, and others. His descendents have published his write-ups with title of “Ali Khan jon adabi khidmaton”. He was laid to rest on 16th July 1954.
Sindhu Mirani
Mohammad Saleh “Sidhu” son of Mohammad Husain Mirani was born on 15th February 1948 at Dadu. He is best short story writer since 62. But at present he has become most passive in literary field.
Soomro Saudai
Purely comedian poet Ghulam Rasool Mohammad Yousif Soomro got birth on 10th April 1938 at Dadu. He served as teacher in education department. He was very simple person but potentate comedian poet. He began to create comedian poetry since 1954. His books were published with the titles, “Chundriyon” and “Trakora tunhanja munhanji math”. He was laid to rest on 14th April 1992.
Asim Nathan Shahi
Ghulam Rasool Solangi “Asim Nathan Shahi” son of Allah Bux, born on 2nd January 1937 at village Khathri Dadu district. He was a poet of romanticism and patriotism. He started to create poetry in 1962. His books “Jadahan ula ubh mein”, “Lahroon lahroon laat” and “Chha chayus aaeney” are published. He was expired on 6th October 2006.
Abu Bakar Khan Magsi
Abu Bakar son of Abdul Rahim was born in 1920 at village Paryo Khan Magsi, Taluka Dadu. He was the best prose writer and historian. His three books, “Arabi Pakistan ki qomi zuban”, “Kutumb-zati milqiat aen riyasat”, “Islami falsafo aen Tasof” are published. He died on 4th April 1981.
Ahmed Khan Asif
Ahmed Khan Asif son of Mohammad Ismail Misrani got birth on 8th July 1922 at Mitho Babar, taluka Khairpur Nathan Shah. On account of traditional Sindhi poetry, he can be counted as legend poet. Since 1937 he continued creating poetry till his martyrdom by robbers on 13th July 1989.
Prof Akram Ansari
Professor Mohammad Akram son of Abdul Khaliq Ansari was born on First January 1925 at village Borari Khairpur Nathan Shah, Dadu district. He remained chairman of Sindh text book board. He was best Researcher. His books are, “Latif and the modern world”, “latif’s philosophy of integration as expressed in yamen kalian”, “Symbolism in latif’s poetry”, “Story of philosophy by will Durant” and “Sur khanbhat aen qurani taleem”. He died on 3rd December 1985.
Professor Abdullah Magsi
Professor Abdullah Magsi son of Dhani Bux was born on 17th December 1947 at Village Gul Mohammad Magsi, Dadu. He started to get interest in history and literature since 1960. He was Assistant Professor. He proved him self as skillful and thoughtful literary person. First he was at Nawab Shah and then he joined at Degree College Dadu. He was learned and intellectual person at his level. He had the best perception and knowledge of history and literature. First of all he was best man, having respects for rising youngsters. He always couraged youngsters in every field of life, especially in the field of history, literature and research. The few historians or literary persons have such goodness. Our historians have become professional and selfish but he was the man of devotion. He was severely caught by hepatitis “B”, which snatched such kind person on first April 1993. His books, “Almi amun mein Sindhi adiban jo hiso”, “Sindh ji tareekh jo jaded mutali’o” and”Jaan jaan hue ji’ari” are his best contribution to history of Sindh.
Molvi Abdul Ghafoor Sitai
Molvi Abdul Ghafoor son of Gul Muhammad Solangi “Sitai”was born 15th October 1910 at village Bacho Wahan near Sita. He was best journalist, analytic and columnist of Al Waheed news paper. He died on 24th May 1981.
Shafi Mohammad Solangi
Shafi Mohammad son of Ghulam Husain Solangi was born on 7th October 1920 at Dadu. He was teacher. He has the best knowledge of Sindhi language, literature and history. He wrote prose in little quantity but very informative and powerful. He expired on 2nd February 2011.
Laung Laiq Sitai
Laung Khan son Mohammad Peryal Solangi was born on 21st June 1932 at village Wariyo Solangi near Sita. He was good poet. He died on 21st April 1987.
Ghulam Nabi Mahesar
Ghulam Nabi Mahesar son of Abdul Khalique Mahesar was born in 1930 at village Bagho Tewanio. Later he settled and passed his life at village Gahi Mahesar near Mehar. He was very famous religious poet of Sindh. He mostly created Naats, Hamds, Moloods and Manqabats. The cassettes of his poetry have been issued in hundreds. His published books of poetry are, “Aqidat ja gul” 46 volumes, “Haq Madina”, “Panj Khuda ja ganj”, “Soonhan aen sarah”, “Rangi tuhanja rang” and “Mahfil e Milad”. He died on 26th November 2000.
Madam Badam Natawan
Madam Badam Natawan wife of Abdul Baqi Thebo of Ghari village, Taluka Mehar was first Sindhi woman short story writer of Sindh. She was mother of Naseem Thebo and Mir Thebo. First wife of Shaikh Ayaz, Madam Iqbal Begam was sister of Madam Badam Natawan. Her book of short stories “Khush Khaslat Khatoon” is published.
Mansoor Qadir Junejo
Abdul Qadir son of Mohammad Yousif Junejo was born on 5th May 1958 at village Ghari, Taluka Mehar. Mansoor Qadir is his pen name. He came in to the fold of literature in 1972. He is best prose writer, columnist and researcher. His columns and write-ups have been published in various journals, magazines and news papers on different aspects of society. His favorite subjects are philosophy, politics and history. At least his 27 books are published. His mentionable books are, “Dunya ja azeem falsafi”, “Shaheed Hosh Mohammad Sheedi”, “Sindhi boli ja shaheed”, “Sindhi Shaheedan ji Tareekh”, “Rabindarnath Tagur”, “General Sherof”, “Taqseem e Sindh ki Sazish” and “Hukamran aen ghulami”.
Nirmal Jeewtani
Nirmal Jeewtani was born in 1920 at village Tharari Mohabat, Taluka Mehar. He was best poet and prose writer. In the life of 24 years he wrote many books. His books “Tray Sathi”, “Sarg danhan pandh urf muhanjo maut”, Nirmal Naat” and “Bina” were published. He expired in 1944.
Mohammad Ramzan Saqib
Mohammad Ramzan Mangi was born on 2nd November 1902 at village Mureed Lakhiar Taluka Mehar. Saqib was his pen name. The collection of his creations is published with title of “Adabi Soghat”. He passed away on 4th April 1965.
Rasool Bux Dero
Rasool Bux son of Ali Nawaz Dero was born in 1901 at village Fareedabad. He had studied Shah Latif at his wisdom and level of knowledge. His books, “Sur Yaman Kalyan”, “Naeen Sharah e Latif”, “Naeen Shara e Aasa”, “and Shah jo Shan”and“Sur samoondi” are published. He died on 27 July 1982.
Ali Mohammad Majrooh
Ali Mohammad son of Khair Mohamad Penhwar was born in 1925 at village Seendhal Mahesar, Taluka Mehar. He was good poet and journalist. The collection of his poetry “Sik Jo Samoond” is published by Sindh Adabi Board Jamshoro. He expired on 6th February 1997.
Imamuddin Zamin
Imamuddin Zamin was born on 1901 at village Dubi near Mehar. He was best comedian poet. He died on 12 February 1969.
Shah Mohammad Sufi
Shah Mohammad Sufi son of Yar Mohammad Jatoi was a good traditional poet of Mehar Taluka. His book “Ziaul Urooz” is published. He expired in eighties of 20th century.
Shamasuddin Shamsi
Shamasuddin Shamsi son of Ghulam Husain Narejo was born in 1921 at village Bakhsh Lakhiar of Mehar Taluka. His books, “Shah e Madina”, “Noorano mahlat”, “Gulzar e Shamsi”, “Surhan” and “Ho Jamalo” are published.
Gordhan Sharma Ghayal
Gordhan Sharma Ghayal son of Nam Dev Sharma was born on 1st December 1937 at Mehar. After the partition of sub continent he migrated to India and settled at Kalyan Nagar, Poona in India. His books, “Chhare sakhi sargam”, “Uhey Ma’ur bhali murkan”, “Koonjoon thiyon Kunkan”, “Qalam jo sipahi”, “Meri Choondi” and “Tukra tukra nind” are published. When he came to Sindh a book “Aen maan Sindh Puhchi wayus” has been published in his honour. He still lives in India.
Akbar Jiskani
Akbar Jiskani son of Jam Khan Jiskani was born in 1957 at Johi town. He was the best short story writer, novelist, columnist and poet. He mostly wrote for children. He first joined as Library Assistant at Sindhi Adabi Board and then became an editor of “Gul Phul” magazine for children by Adabi Board. He showed extraordinary performance as an editor. His awarded Novelette “Batyun Wari Nani” is the best of his creations. It is just like his autobiography. His poetry, short stories and columns have been published in various magazines and news papers. His published books of short stories “Khairo Hajam” and “Ramo Peti” became very popular. He was died on 13th august 1999.
Ishaq Rahi
Mohammad Ishaq “Rahi” son of Mohammad Saleh was born on 9th April 1935 at Mehar. Ishaq Rahi is famous as a traditional poet of Sindh. He trained many poets in his life. Since 1964 he continued poetic services for Sindhi poetry till laid to rest on 6th June 1994.
Shamas Soomro
Shamasuddin son of Ghulam Hyder Soomro got birth on 1st June 1954 at Dadu. He came in to the fold of literature in 1970. He remained secretary general of Sindhi adabi sangat Sindh. He was genius person and creative peot and short story writer. “Mohan Jo Daro” and “Keenjhar” are his published books. He was expired on 13th December 2003.
Hakim Ali shah
Sayed Hakim Ali Shah son of Sayed Hajan Shah and brother of Ustad Bukhari, a legend poet of Sindh, was born on 15th February 1938 at village Ghulam Chandio, Dadu. He stepped in the field of history and archaeology in 1978. First he was teacher, and then he was appointed as assistant Custodian at Mohan Jo Daro museum. He retired from national museum Karachi on 14th February 1998. He is an expert archaeologist but he got recognition at Sindh level after the death of Ustad Bukhari. His own written and translated books are, “Kalhora period architecture”, “Sangeet Sansar”, “Sindh j Qadim Aasaran ji Directory”, “Khirthar”, “Dakhan Asia j boliyun aen Lipyun ji directory”, “Tamiraat ji Lughat”, “Aap beeti jag beeti”, “Dehi perdehi saz”, “Bankari aen Karobari Lughat” and “Balochistan ja Qadim Aasar”.
Zulfiqar Doltani
Zulfiqar Doltani’s full name is Zulfiqar Ali. He was born to Sobho Khan Doltani on 20 December 1989 at village Sobho Khan Doltani, Taluka Johi, District Dadu Sindh. He got primary education from his hometown. Matric in 2005 from GHS Khairpur Nathan Shah and inter in 2007 from degree college KN Shah. He is writing columns, short stories and poetry from 2006. His poetry and prose published in pak newspaper Karachi. He is working as journalist from 2017. Now he is editor of Sindh Online web newspaper.
Yameen Ghamgheen Babar
Muhammad Yamin Babar was born to Molvi Nabi Bux Babar on first April 1953 at village Kando Babar Johi Taluka of Dadu District, Sindh Pakistan. His pen name is Ghamgheen. He got his early education from his hometown in 1963. He did non continued further education. He started career as poet in 1970. He has composed Ghazals, Geets, Kafis, rabaees naats, manqabats and other forms of Sindhi Poetry. His poetry has been publishing in various newspapers, magazines and journals since 1980s. He has attended Lal Shahbaz Qalander conferences several times. His book “Chand Kharey hethan” was published in 2005. Still he continues composing poetry.
Anila Naz Soomro
Dr. Anila Naz Soomro was born to a literary and social activist personality Dr. Ali Nawaz Soomro on 8 January 1975 at Johi Town, Dadu District, Sindh. She is very learned, laborious and genius. She has been writing articles and creating poetry since childhood. She got her primary education from her hometown Johi. Anila passed her matriculation examination from GBHS Johi in 1990 and intermediate from GGD College Dadu in 1992. She did B.Sc honors in first class from Sindh University Jamshoro and M.Sc in freshwater biology and fisheries in first class first in 1999. <span;>Anila Soomro was appointed as lecturer in freshwater biology in Sindh University Jamshoro. She got promotions as Assistant professor and Asociate professor. Now she serves as professor from 2018.<span;> Dr. Naz did M. S/M. Phil in 2008 from <span;>Kagoshima university Japan in fisheries science<span;> She got PDH degree on the research topic of ‘<span;>Riverine ecology and diversity conservation, biogeography and migration strategies of freshwater prawn’ from <span;>Kagoshima university Japan as well. As a writer she has written many columns and article on ecology together with other social issues and subjects. Her poetry including prose is published in various journals and newspapers.
Khadim Jiskani
Khadim Hussain Jiskani was born to Allah Bux Jiskani on 2nd July 1975 at Johi Town, taluka Johi District Dadu Sindh. He got primary to secondary education in Johi. He did graduation from university of Sindh and passed diploma in electronics from technical college Hyderabad Sindh in 1997. He has been creating poetry from 1990. His poetry is published in Ibrat magazine, Hazardastan journal by daily Ibrat, Keenjhar magzine, Qurterly Mihran by Sindhi Adabi Board, Kawish magzine and other journals and newspapers. His poetry is published in “Wan Wan Manjhand waas”, a joint book of different poets.
Allah Rakhio Gorar
Allah Rakhio Gorar son of Bisharat Gorar was born on 14th June 1935 at village Sojharo. He is associated with literature since 1962. He remained best educationist and keen interested with literature. He is also good prose writer. His book of autobiography “Jeevan Safar Sik Jo” is published.
Allah Nawaz Ruknai
Allah Nawaz Ruknai son of Mohammad Urs Korejo Mallah was born at village old Rukan, Dadu, on 10th May 1930. He started writing in 1950. He was best researcher, prose writer and poet. His poetry is combination of new and traditional trends of Sindhi poetry. He was expert in Sindhi language. His books “Chholiyon manchar joon” and “Nen na nidon kan” are published, which is his best contribution to Sindhi literature. He laid to rest on 13th February 2006.
Badar Abro
A renowned research scholar Badar Abro son of Jamal Abro and grand son of Ali Khan Abro was born on 19th December 1953. Badar is in the field of literature since 1973. He has recognized him self as a best research scholar, critic, columnist, short story writer and prose writer in his contemporary circle. His published books are, “Riyasat jhangal ji aakhani”, “tanqeed nigari jo ertaqaae jaezo”, “Manhon”, “ranikot”, “hinglach aen lahoot”, “bhagwan jo bhoon-nepal”, “sindh jo safar”, “sindh jo shah”, “khirthar jo safar”, “kohistan jo safar” and “khirthar mein chitsali-buddhya jo safar”.
Johar Brohi
Abdul Qayom “Johar” Brohi son of Abdul Karim Sasoli was born on 29th January 1950.He lives permanently at Faridabad, Taluka Mehar. Since 1970 he is in the field of creativity. He is best poet, prose writer, critic and historian. His books “Khatam e Nabuat”, “Shah Godriyo”, “Roshni e Roshni”, “Warand Fakir jo Kalam”, “Mitho Mir Madni”, “Kachhe paee kook”, “Utam Insan”, “Gul Phul Geet”, “Kitab e Rang”, “Imamul Asar” , and other books of his prose and poetry are published.
Dadan Faqeer
Dad Mohammad son of Dhani Bux Joyo was born on 17th January 1906 at Radhan Taluka Mehar. His poetry is very simple and common. He touched Sufism and romanticism with his poetic touch. His books “Aftab e ishq” and “hann khann” are published. He expired on 19th October 1979.
Ziauddin “Zia” Bulbul
Ziauddin son of Shamasuddin Bulbul was born 10th December 1910 at Mehar. He was literary person. His books, “Tuhfa e Mehar”, “Khutba e Zia”, “Zia ul Qalandar” and “Qurb Qalandar” are published. He expired on 14th September 1966.
Talib Leghari

MuhammadHashim Solangi was born to Dhani Bux Songi on 2 August 1962 at Village Haji Khan, Taluka Johi, District Dadu Sindh. He passed primary education from his village. He did matriculation from Government High School Johi in 1977 and
Intermediate from Government Degree College Dadu in 1979. He passed BSc honors in Botany in 1983 from University of Sindh. He did M.A: in England literature 1987 from University of Sindh JamshorePakistan. He was appointed as a lecturer in English in 1988 at Government Mehran degrees College Moro. Later he transfered to degree college Dadu in 1990. h He was promoted as Assistant professor in 1999 and Associate professor in 2014. He had keen interest in literature from early life. He translated the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Shekh Ayaz, Ustad Bukhari, Haleem Baghi, Aziz Kingrani and other well-known poets in English. Mashooque Ali son of Ali Bux Brihmani was born on 21 August 1970 at village Dodo Brihmani, Wahi Pandhi, Taluka Johi. He got his early education front his native village. He paased matriculation examination from Govt. High school Johi in 1996 and inter from Govt. Degree College Dadu in 1998. He did M. Ed from Shah Abdul Latif university Khairpur Mir’s. From childhood he is in the Feild of literature. He has been creating poetry since 1992. His poetry is published in various newspapers and journals of Sindhi Language. Like Daily Jago, Daily Awami Awaz Karachi, journals Naen Zindagi, Hazar Dastan. He is very creative and touchy poet and prose writer. He has written many inter active theaters as well. He is also most active social worker. He has visited Kolalampur Malaysia, India and British, especially London regarding to attend word inter active theater programs. He promoted the unknown Sufi singers of backward area of Kachho. He is still contributing in the Feild of Sindhi literature.

Ali Mohammad “Dard” son of Mir Mohammad Solangi was born on 21st November 1965 at village Qazi Pir Mohammad. He is in literary fold since 1989. He is good poet and short story writer.
Azad Anwar Kandhro
Ali Anwar “Azad Anwar Kandhro” son of Mohammad Hashim Kandhro was born on 6th march 1980 at village Ahmed Khan Kandhro taluka Mehar, district Dadu. He is best poet, prose writer and compiler. He got primary education from GPS Village Dodo Brahmani. He passed Matric from Johi high school, inter from degree college Johi and did graduation from degree college Dadu. He is good poet, singer and journalist. He started career as poet from 1998. Ahmed Khan Madhosh and Yameen Ghamgheen remained his guide and mentor in poetry. He received training of music from Abdul Ghafoor Babar in 2004. His poetry is published in various standard journals and newspapers. He with collaboration of Madhosh opened unit of Adabi Sanghat Wahi Pandhi.

The history of poetry in Sindhi language is not younger. Its roots can be traced in Soomra dynasty (1050-1352) and Sama dynasty (1353-1521). There are many socio-religious and historical causes for finding old story of poetry in Sindhi language. However, I shall try to post a story of poetry in Sindhi language.
